Alpha Engineering Limit (AELl) was formed in 2017 by the Owner, me, Russell Jones with the intention of contracting myself, to engineering companies, contractors, building own owers, building property managers, developers and any person or company that could use my expertise in building design including building permit approval and mechanical design.

My preferred engagement type is on contract, an hourly rate plus HST, working from my home office in Conception Bay North. At this time time my location is 215 Bioships Cove. In 2025 I plan an expansion with a new company, Full Scale Drafting Limited. As that business expands I have plans to rent a larger space in CBN.
Having said "I am a one man show", don't misinterpret this. I only mean I have that ability to work independently on client projects. Examples of these in recent years on my resume include:

Since the time I started my career in 1988 with JAD Engineering Limited, on all projects listed on my resume, with all companies, including work terms, I have been an integral Team Member. Please refer to my resume for a list of companies where I participated as a team member.
I truly believe working from home in the manner I propose, visiting with the team members as necessary, with minimum group meetings . I have witnessed with a lot of companings as many as 25 people in an hour or two meetings. I really question the necessity of all these meetings.
I would travel to sites as required, including site inspections including the preliminary inspection, inspections during construction, too final commissioning and training, leading to client handover.
For mega projects my preferred work arrangement is to be employed directly with the client, on a contract basis to ensure their interests are being met, but with full medical coverage if that is possible.
I work unconventional work hours, mostly sometimes 7 days a week if necessary, coming and going as I please.
It is December 21, 2024 and it is 3.26 Am. I started at 12 Pm.While working I made a bowl of Cream Of Wheat.

AEL-Services Provided
The following are some of the Services AEL provides, included but not limited to:
- Mechanical Building Systems Design for all Phases of the Building Design Process.
- Revit 3D Modelling of Buildings, Mechanical and Electrical Systems using Revit 2025.
- Connect clients to personnel, on a full time or on a contract basis, to assist in the development of Client's Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical systems design.
- In working on projects with Clients, be an integral part of the Team for the project and: coordinate the work of the clients staff/junior staff and AEL's assigned staff, hired on a contract basis; assist in the code compliance requirements for the project; mentor junior staff and any other duties as agreed with the Client.
- Work with Clients starting a project to engage other disciplines, if so required.
- Material Take off and Cost estimates for Client provided drawings.
- Assist in the Bidding Process on Engineering RFPs
- Building Energy Modelling using Carrier HAP 6.2 3D software.
- Website setup through GoDaddy Software.
- The NL Building Permit Process and all submittals including building drawings.
